Mission
Embarking on the journey towards being your own boss is appealing these days, whether it’s a part-time side-hustle or a long-term business venture. But with costs going up across the board, it’s vitally important that affordable and flexible workspace is available to help people get their ideas off the ground and continue to grow.
We’re a team of self-employed friends and small business owners based in the city of Bristol, UK. During the Covid-19 pandemic, hungry for a new creative project and tired of how expensive the city was becoming, we got involved in setting up a shared workshop space and were subsequently inspired to begin searching for empty and interesting looking commercial buildings to repurpose. After a couple of months and with a bit of luck, we found the first one, got stuck in and began the mission to inject a new lease of life into it!
This idea to transform and set-up unique and quirky co-working spaces, saving buildings from a state of disrepair in the process, was initially driven by our own need for a flexible work environment. However, we’re equally committed to providing for the city’s wider creative and local business community, and our values are based on the idea of social enterprise – we reinvest the majority of any profits into our projects to maximise our positive social impact.
Whether it’s short or long term, if we find the right building our mission is to refurbish it to support creatives and small businesses. We also offer our services setting up, managing and assisting with co-working spaces in other people’s properties.
