On the weekend of the 23rd and 24th November, we had the immense pleasure of seeing The Old Drumbank Studios building become part of the famous North Bristol Arts Trail for the first time! Spreading all over the local St Andrews area as well as the wider Horfield, Bishopston, Redland, Henleaze and Ashley wards of Bristol, it’s a fantastic yearly event. A platform for artists and makers to open their houses or studio spaces, and showcase and sell their work.

This year saw over 50 venues (including ours!) and upwards of 110 people featured. A lovely day out and chance to talk to the makers and discover some incredible art in the process. The Old Drumbank Studios opened its doors to members of the public, who were welcome to roam around inside the building as well as meet Lara (Urraca Studios) and Natalie Butlin,

Both of these designer / makers were showcasing their wonderful work, and the entire corridor was transformed by a lovely display of their unique and contemporary hand-made jewellery, ceramics, sculpture and homewares. Lara also opened up her silversmithing studio to the public, a space in which she soon hopes will also host jewellery making workshops in Bristol.

It was great weekend and we welcomed lots of people through ours doors over both days, in the face of extreme wind and weather warnings! We hope to be a part of North Bristol Arts Trail again in future years.
